January SCARC Meeting will be held via Zoom
Out of caution regarding the COVID-19 Coronavirus, the meeting of W6JW, the Santa Clarita Amateur Radio Club, usually held at the Stevenson Ranch Library, is, until further notice, replaced by our virtual meeting.
We appreciate your understanding of our desire to minimize risk to our members and guests. Until we are able to meet again in person, we will be holding meetings via Zoom.
The Santa Clarita Amateur Radio Club invites you to join our next scheduled Zoom meeting. It will be held on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022, at 7:00 PM, Pacific Time (US and Canada).
Our program this month, will be Benjamin Kuo, AI6YR who will provide a presentation on how he analyzed a photo from a hiker lost in the Angeles National Forrest to direct Search and Rescue efforts. He utilized some unique skills reviewing satellite imagery to determine an approximate location for search teams to locate the hiker.
We are also expecting the coordinator from the Montrose Search and Rescue Team to join us and speak on how Ben’s information shortened the search for this hiker. Please join us.
