June Meeting

Please join the Santa Clarita Amateur Radio Club (SCARC) on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, except for the December holiday dinner.  Our next meeting will be Wednesday, June 21st at 7:00 pm. The Club Officers/Board meeting will start at 6:30pm.

There may be a presentation at the June meeting, if time permits. The majority of the meeting will be devoted to finalizing plans and schedules for this year’s Field Day, coming up June 24th and 25th. If you are at all interested in the Field Day event, please plan on attending the June meeting. Field Day is open to everyone interested in Amateur Radio, club members and guests alike, licensed or not. You will learn a lot about setting up radio equipment in less than perfect conditions, and you’ll get on the air to speak with other Hams all around the country, even if you are not licensed yet.

Both the Board meeting and monthly club meeting are located at the Santa Clarita Senior Center, near Old Downtown Newhall, 22900 Market St. Santa Clarita, CA 91321-3609. Amateur Radio License Exams

Sessions are held on the 3rd Saturday of every odd month (January, March, May, July, September, and November) at the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center – Room A6. If you wish to take a test, you need to contact Ron Klein, K6VPV by telephone (661) 259-0948 at least five days before the testing session. This is so that we can have the necessary forms and testing materials ready for you and so that you can be informed on what you need to bring with you.
