**SCARC May, 2012 Meeting**

Please join the Santa Clarita Amateur Radio Club on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.                                         We will be planning the logistics for our upcoming Field Day. Field Day is June 23rd & 24th. So come and join us. The meeting will be held at the Santa Clarita Senior Center 22900 Market Street Santa Clarita, CA 91321. The location is several blocks west of Newhall Ave on Market St. in Newhall. We will be starting the meeting at 7:00pm. The Board of Directors Meeting will be at 6:30pm.

Amateur Radio License Testing

Amateur Radio License Testing

Next Test session Saturday May 19, 2012.

Sessions are held on the 3rd Saturday of every odd month of the year (January, March, May, July, September, and November) at 8 a.m. at the Santa Clarita Senior Center room A6. Our Next test session will be May 19, 2012. If you wish to take a test then you need to contact Ron Klein, K6VPV, contact information at the club website W6JW.org under testing at least five days before the testing session. This is so that we can have the necessary forms and testing materials ready for you and so that you can be informed on what you need to bring with you.

May T-HUNT

The SCARC monthly T-Hunt will be held on Saturday May 19, 2012. Talk-in will be on the W6JW repeater 146.79 MHz.  We start by meeting in the parking lot of La Mesa Jr. High school at 26623 May Way. This is South off of Via Princessa past the southern end of Whites Canyon Rd. After we gather everyone checks in and divides into teams.
